キャラクターソングコレクションの発売のとき今後しばらくはアルバムを出すつもりはないといっていた法子さんから約1年後
桑島　法子さんとしては初のアルバム「Flores ~死者への花束~」が発売
このアルバムは彼女がパーソナリティをしていたラジオで宮沢賢治の詩の朗読などで培ってきで彼女の詩の朗読のすばらしさがこめられている

歌のほかにも宮沢賢治の詩の朗読もこのCDに収められているので歌が少ない気もするが
彼女の声が聞きたいと言う方には特にお勧め

声優のアルバムの中では、非常に珍しい硬派的なアルバム
である。若々さよりも渋さを前に出したような表現である。
作曲プロデューサーに服部克久氏、作詞には北川恵子氏など
豪華演出をしている。ヴォーカル曲、詩の朗読、オーケストラ
曲など多くのジャンルがあり、どれも内容が深い。
歌唱力も、声優の中でもかなりレベルが高い。また曲の伴奏

も申し分ないほど贅沢である。
アルバムそのものの音質も多少音の華やかさが目立つものの
並みの声優アルバムを超えた音質で収録されている。
声優ファンだけでなくオーディオファンにもお勧めしたい1枚
である。

いつも桑島さんの演技は自然で、ときに圧倒的な迫力を見せつけぐっと魅かれるものがあります。
このアルバムはそんな桑島さんの音声だけを凝縮した内容になっています。
歌唱力は一流には達していませんが、表現力は超一流です。
桑島さんと同世代の他の女性声優が発表するCDアルバムといえば、アイドルチックで
ぶりっこ写真を載せ、ど派手なパッケージで甘い声で切ない（ORはじけてる？）ラブソングを歌ってばかりですが
このアルバムは命に対する思い、桑島さんが大好きな宮沢賢治の詩の朗読が収録されています。
桑島さんは自身の才能を下品にぎらぎらと輝かせることはありません。
むしろ力強く上品に鈍く光っています。
表面にとらわれずに、しっかりしたものをお求めの方にオススメです。
