村上龍の小説を元にしていますが、原作を知らなくても十分楽しめました。主人公が第二次大戦が現在でも終わっていないパラレルワールドに行くというストーリーのサウンドノベルです。選択肢によってストーリーや登場人物が様々に変わっていきます。

原作もそうなのかもしれませんが、まずその世界観がすごいです。戦って生き延びることが当たり前の「アンダーグラウンド」の人たちを見ていると、「生きている意味」について改めて考えさせられました。

村上龍の同名小説の世界観を、テキストアドベンチャー化した一本。
第二次世界大戦が終結した後も、依然戦争を続ける｢大日本帝国｣へ
ふとした拍子に迷い込んだ主人公の生き様を描いた一本。

2時間文字を読み続けたのに、達成率をチェックしたら｢2%｣という、
ADVとしては前代未聞の、冗談のような膨大なボリュームは圧巻。

グラフィックや音楽などの素材には、多少野暮ったさを感じるが
馴染んでくると『原作の独特の雰囲気を損なわない為にはコレが一番なのか』
という気持ちになってくるから不思議である。
動画を分岐に利用したシステムは、有りそうで無かったコロンブスの卵。

ザッピングが非常に効果的に使われており、小説としては勿論、
ゲーム的にも奥行きのある作りになっている。
例えが他社製品でアレだが、有る意味｢街２｣とも言える出来栄え。
長く、じっくり遊べる一本。秋の夜長に。

本作は村上龍の小説「五分後の世界」をゲーム化した作品。
ただ単純に物語が進行していくわけではなく、非常に分岐も
多いため、物語に厚みが増している。

残念なのは２点。
・分岐が多すぎて逆に把握しきれないこと。既に読み終えた
　分岐とこれから読む分岐、それぞれが把握できればもっと
　良かった。

・文字の展開速度が遅い
　分岐を攻略するために何度か同じところを読む必要がある
　が、この際、とてもイライラする。

逆にサウンドノベルとして面白いのは、シューティングにも
似た要素が少しだけ含まれており、そこでの行動もシナリオ
分岐に影響するという点。
ただ文字を追うだけでなく、シューティングの要素もあるた
め、退屈を感じずに済むのも良い。

総じて言えば、シナリオも練り込まれているし、ＣＧも悪く
ない。
私のように派手さや爽快感よりも、シナリオを重視する人な
ら十分楽しめるはず。
