   宇宙船のトラブルで、とある惑星に不時着してしまう、主人公のキャプテン・オリマー。そこからの脱出が本作の大きな目的で、「ピクミン」と呼ばれる奇妙な生物を操りながら、宇宙船のパーツを探していくことになる。
   主人公を親のように慕うピクミンは、赤、青、黄の3種類存在し、それぞれに独自の思考で行動する生物。1匹ずつでは非力ながら、最大で100匹まで引き連れることができる。物を運ばせたり、障害物を壊させたり、襲いかかってくる敵と戦わせながらゲームを進めていく。けなげに主人公の後をついてくるピクミンとの交流のなかに、信頼、愛情、達成感、連帯感といったさまざまな感情が、得られるようになっているところが大きなポイント。

   ちなみに、ニンテンドーゲームキューブ4作目となる本作は、プロデューサーの宮本茂が非常に力をいれて制作した作品。アクションとシミュレーションの要素が含まれた、新感覚のゲームだ。（田村 雅）

限られた日数内で失われた宇宙船のパーツを集める。
ピクミン達を駆使して一日以内にどれだけパーツを集められるか計画を立てながらプレイするのが面白かったです。
さらにボスがなかなか手強く、パーツ集めも手強い物ばかりでした。
しかしながら難易度がかなり高く、まったりゆっくりプレイしたいという方には不向きでしょう。（そういう方は２を買うことをお勧めします）。はっきりいってとても殺伐してますね。一体の大きな敵に群がって攻撃するピクミンはグンタイアリを彷彿とさせます。
画質がなかなか綺麗でした。GCの中でも指折りの画質ではないでしょうか？BGMも良い感じで、良作です。

このゲームが発売されたのはずいぶん昔、ゲームキューブの目玉ソフトでしたよね。
先日これをＷｉｉでやってみたのですが、久しぶりに見たその画面は新しいＦＦよりも最新のゼルダよりも、はるかに美しい！
色の使い方はまるでハイビジョン画像を見ているようです。
ピクミンたちの愛らしさや、声のかわいらしさ、動きのおもしろさ、けなげさなど、見ているだけで癒されました。
美しく心地よく楽しめる名作ゲームの一つだと再認識しました。

かわいいです。ほんとにかわいいです！

だから30日たった後、ピクミンと別れるのが辛かったです。はじめてのラストではなんだか泣けてきました。
あ、爆弾岩でたくさんのピクミンを死なせてしまった時もとてもとても悲しかった……。

だから何度も会いたくなって、何度もプレイしてしまうんですね。
「こんどは死なせないぞ！」って。
