映画の様な始まり方をするオープニング。

絶海の孤島にただ1人潜入した主人公。

なんで映画化しないのか不思議なくらい、バイオハ〇ードなんぞ映画化してる暇があるならこれを作りなさい諸監督。

細部まで作り込まれたシナリオ。味のある登場人物。そして感動のラスト。映画とゲームを最高の塩梅で交ぜた作品です。

ただシリアスなだけじゃなく、サイコマンティスのコントローラーを動かす念力やスネークのちょっと下ネタなジョーク等、クスリとさせてくれる演出も◎


メタルギアシリーズは、これが最高っす。

画の荒さが逆に緊張感を盛り立てていると思います。オプス・ＭＧＳ３・ＭＧＳ２では昼間や廊下の電気で明るさがありますが、このＭＧＳは全編夜で廊下も薄暗くて不気味です。バイオハザード的な印象を受けました。極寒のアラスカが舞台というのも単純にプラスαですね。ボス戦においてはＭＧＳ３と似通ったところが多々あると思います。狙撃手・ステルス迷彩・オセロットなど。

メタルギアソリッドは２の後にやりました。当時はもうＰＳ２が主流で、今更･･･という抵抗もありましたが、やってみてドツボに嵌りました。抜けられません（笑）。
グラフィックは今でこそ荒いですが、発売当時では最高水準ではないでしょうか。ＣＤの要領ぎりぎりまで詰め込んだあのシステムは最高です！発想も新しい！！逆に言ってしまえば、変にムービーを入れまくってゲーム自体に自由性を失わせてしまうような事がないので、ゲームが面白い！
ストーリーも大好きです！伏線の緻密さと細部まで作りこんだキャラクターの設定も良いですね。個人的には１のストーリーが一番好きかもしれません。
ミリタリー好きな人にはたまらないゲームです。
