   1998年に発売された大人気の格闘ゲーム『ストリートファイターZERO3』が「カプコレ」（廉価版）になって再登場。このバージョンではキャラクターのファイティングスタイルを3パターンのなかから選び、自分の好みのキャラクターにすることができる。ガードの耐久ゲージがなくなると一瞬、無防備になる「ガードクラッシュ」、空中での自分の体勢を立て直すことができる「空中受け身」などアーケード版のシステムをそのままの形で移植。

   プレイステーション版だけの特別仕様としてバイソン、ユーリ、ユーニが最初から使用できるほか、フェイロン、ディージェイ、サンダー・ホークらの『スーパーストリートファイター』からのキャラクターも使用できる。ポケットステーション用ソフト『ポケゼロ』も内蔵されている。（樋口浩二）

ワールドツアーの育成システム、それぞれのキャラのエンディング、そして3つのIZM(ISM?)がよく出来上がってる。この作品後のPS2の作品を何本かやっているが面白さは見られない。これを遊ぶのが一番かな。

スト2ターボの難易度に幼少時代トラウマを植え付けられた自分が
再び格ゲーに興味を持つこととなった今作。
今プレイしても近年の格ゲーよりも操作感、バランス共に
優れており、時が流れて高校生となった今でも回りにはこのZERO3ファンの友人に数多く出会った。
案の定8割方豪鬼使いだったが、家に集って今でも大いに盛り上がる事が出来た。
この名作を越えられる格ゲーは、多分今後も出る事はないと思う。

自分はこれ、廉価版じゃなくなんか６千円くらいで
買った覚えが在りますが、キャラは多いしＩＳＭ
（なんか、技とか性能が変わる、３種類）を変えれば
ほんとに違うキャラを使っているような感じすらするし、
隠し要素も結構あって、えっらい長い事遊んだ。
雰囲気というか、空気みたいなもんはZERO2が渋くて
好きですが、ゲームとしてはこれがすごい好きです。
エレクトリックサンダーを食らった本田さんは
マゲにも骨があるよ。
