彼らのアルバムの中では、「かわいい」という表現が
あてはまるアルバムです。＃１以外、小粒でかわいい
曲そろいです。そういう意味では、彼らのアルバムの
中でも異色といえるかもしれません。

このアルバムでは、タモリのトランペットとボーカル
が聴けます。実はタモリが全くの素人ではなくて、ジャ
ズをやっていたということを、このアルバムで知りま
した。けっこう曲に馴染んでましたよ。

＃１は有名な曲になりましたね。これは元祖がスクエア
ということを、どれだけの人が知っているのでしょうか？
＃４はライブの定番曲です。この曲に合わせて手を振った
思い出があります。

次のアルバムでがらっとメンバーが代わって、それから
ブレイクするのですが、根本的にスクエアのやってるこ
とって、そう変わらないと思うのですよ。ヒップでポップ。
これだと思います。だからこのアルバムも楽しめますよ。

学生時代THE SQUAREのLPを買い漁った中のかなり気に入ったｱﾙﾊﾞﾑのひとつです。LPｼﾞｬｹｯﾄは女のｼｮｰﾄﾊﾟﾝﾂをめくりﾚｺｰﾄﾞを取り出すようになっており、見えるはずのおしりは砂漠絵で眼の錯覚を利用した”砂漠の蜃気楼現象”がMAGIC(手品)でした。ｷｬｻﾘｰﾝが唄う3曲目”I'll Never Forget You”が個人的にｱﾙﾊﾞﾑNo1です。またﾗｲﾌﾞｱﾝｺｰﾙでおなじみ4曲目”Littel Mermaid”はLyricon代表曲のひとつと思います。
※ｷｰﾎﾞｰﾄﾞ担当”久米大作”はあのﾅﾚｰｼｮﾝの鬼才”久米昭”の息子です!!
