ケミストリー待望のファーストアルバムです。
ラップ有り、バラード有りなかなか聴かせてくれます。
この1枚で、ケミストリーの全てがわかる？くらい内容が濃い仕上がりになっています。個人的には、ＣＥＳＴＬＡＶＩＥが今までと違い、テンポが早い曲でおすすめ！
ケミストリーがもっともっと大好きになったよ~！

視聴者参加型オーディション番組『ASAYAN』から飛び出した男性ボーカル・デュオ，CHEMISTRYの1stアルバム。当時，新人とは言えシンガーとしての能力は折り紙付きの堂珍と川畑。R&B，HIP HOP，ジャズで構成された全12曲の特性を良く把握し，クールに，フレッシュに，そしてソウルフルに歌い上げている。

ゲスト・ミュージシャンもその筋のプロが参加。「BROTHERHOOD」では日本のHIP HOP界を代表するDABOが重くキレの良いライミングをすれば，相手を務める川畑も負けじと艶かしい歌声を披露。異なるジャンルの組み合わせながら抜群の相性をみせる。一方，「星たちの距離」では，ジャズ・シンガー，ケイコ・リーと堂珍がデュエットが実現。ケイコのハスキーで渋い声と，堂珍の透き通った声が折り重なり，じっくりと聴かせ通す。その趣はジャズ的ではあるが，ソウル的な味わいも感じさてくれる佳曲。

肝心の堂珍と川畑のコンビネーションが高い次元で表現されているのは絶品バラード「You Go Your Way」だろう。クライマックスで発せられる渾身のハーモニーは，聴く者の情緒に深く訴える説得力を有す。こうしたハイ・クオリティな楽曲がひしめく中，「C'EST LA VIE」ではペル・ビヴ・デヴォーを思わせるバック・トラックが聴ける。その遊び心がまた心憎い！

最新アルバムがかなり気に入っているのですが、それと同じくらいこのアルバムが好きです。最近YouGoYourWayなどの曲調の曲は歌われてないので、五年たった今改めて聴きたいと思わせるアルバムだと思います。あれだけ売れたのも頷けます。完成度高いです。
