　眼鏡がトレード・マークのシンガー・ソングライター、リサ・ローブの1994年のデビュー作です。
　このアルバムはとにかく多彩な曲作りに目を瞠らされます。ハードな"Taffy"などもありますが、どれも基本的にメロディ重視で、アコースティック･ギターをメインに素晴らしい曲が多いです。まず一曲目で仰天。"Happiness Is A Warm Gun"かよ？って感じの破天荒な進行で、最後まで美メロのオン･パレードです。アルバム発表の1年前に全米No1ヒットになった"Stay"も入ってるし、アルバムからの4枚のシングルのカップリングまで全部良かったですね。
　ジャケも洒落てますが、声もかわいいし、曲もいい。女性シンガー好きの人には外せないアルバムです。

リサの出してる中でこのアルバムが一番好きです。ギター1本と自分の声だけでここまで聴かせられる女性シンガーは多くないでしょう。彼女を世に知らしめた名曲「STAY」はもちろん、1曲1曲に彼女の大切なメッセージがこめられていて、聴いているこちらまで胸が痛くなったり心が温かくなったり。初めて聴く人にもこのアルバムが一番オススメです。特に恋に悩んでいる女の子に！

彼女のＣＤの中ではこのアルバムが一番オススメです。ｓｔａｙは失恋の曲だけど、すごく聴きやすい曲です。この曲が好きなら他の曲もきっと気に入ると思いますよ。だからとにかく聴いてみてください。彼女の声や曲のメロディーは決して「一度聴いたら忘れられない」ものではないですが、「何度聴いても飽きない」曲だと思います。そんな曲ってなかなかないですよね。
