スポックスビアード、フラワーキングス、ドリームシアター、マリリオンのメンバーによるトランスアトランティックのセカンドアルバムです。作曲のクレジットが前作とは違いトランスアトランティックになっています。だからというわけではないのでしょうが、これがトランスアトランティックの音楽だと言える内容になっています。前作は各人の所属バンドの 音がぶつかりあうだけのような印象を持たざるを得ませんでしたが(もちろん、それはそれでスリリングなのですが)、本作では一歩進んでトランスアトランティック独自のスタイルに到達したと言えるでしょう。もちろんフラワーキングスやスポックスビアードっぽい部分もあるにはあるが、フレーバー的でしかないように思います。このアルバムは曲数は4曲ですが、70分以上の収録時間でたっぷりと楽しめるのですが、もっと聴きたいと思わせるほどの作品に仕上がっています。特にトップとラストの26分オーヴァーの二曲が聴きごたえのある曲で、長さをまったく感じさせない作品になっています。時間の経つのを忘れてしまう、まさにそんなアルバムです。

１曲目から圧巻のイントロ展開でとにかく聴き応えあり。３０分前後の曲が２つあるおかげでアルバム曲数はたった４曲のものの、そのかわりメロディーかつポップの要素もばっちり積み込まれたプログレに脱帽すること間違いなし。
２作目ということで各メンバー感のケミストリーもまとまり、それが曲自体よく練られた印象を受ける。マイク・ポートノイ(Dr)のビートもさることならがピート・トラワバス(B)のメロディックかつフックの効いたグルーブ溢れるベースが織り成すリズムにニール・モーズ(Key,Vo)の聴き易い声質が好感を与えてくれる。キーボートもＥＬ＆Ｐを彷彿させるような７０年代のプログレのようなスリリングな展開もあれば各メンバーが多大なる影響を受けたビートルズっぽいメロディーやコーラスワークも楽しめる曲も。ロイネ・ストルト(G,Vo)のインプットもあるわりにはミックスのせいか前作に比べて若干なりを潜めた感があるものの全体的には前作を上回るかなりの良作なので、ぜひともプログレファンは聴いてみる価値あり。
