   小さな箱庭的空間でさまざまなイベントに遭遇し、動物や作物を育てながら主人公が成長していくというほのぼのRPG第3弾。村人や動物たちとの出会いをとおして存続の危機にさらされたシュガー村を救うのが今回の目的。1年間以内に村を救うという期限を設け、シリーズ中では異例のコンパクト化がなされている。その分、村人にまつわるエピソードや日々のいろんなきっかけで起こるイベントが充実。数にして100種類以上あり、そのエピソードの豊富さでより感情移入がしやすくなっている。

   また、前作までになかった、飼い犬を調教するドッグブリーダーシステムや、お金だけでなくあるものを手に入れられるようになったアルバイトシステムなど、前作をプレイしたプレイヤーをも飽きさせない演出も多数用意されている。全部で9種類あるエンディングもそのひとつ。すべて知りたいという欲求をキャラクターへの感情移入という形で昇華させてくれる作りは、絶妙のバランスといえるだろう。（中田 和志）

動物を育てたり、野菜を作ったりしていろいろな楽しみ方が
あります。今回はアルバイトもできるので、今までとは違う
牧場生活が楽しめます。この作品では、結婚システムがない
のが残念ですが、その分イベントはたくさんあり、飽きません。

このゲームは本来の牧場に比べてつまらないと思う。。
グラフィックはきれいだし馬に乗って街にでれるため移動は楽になった。また、バイトなどもあって最初はおもしろいと感じた。
でも、なにより結婚ができないというのは論外だと思う。恋愛的な要素はあるが、結婚ができないのはつまらない。それに、エンディングが９個ぐらいあるが、１つ終わるたびに街の人が「初めまして」になる。
マップもゴチャゴチャしていて、最初のうちは出かけると家には帰れない。

いつもの牧場のマンネリ化がイヤだった人には楽しいかもしれないが、のんびりと遊びたい人にはおすすめできない。

まだ二日間しか遊んでいないのですが、「牧場物語３」は私にとって一番好きなゲームの中の一つになりました。その理由はいくつかあります。まずは、登場人物一人一人の性格の違い、動物のかわいらしさ、そして背景、音楽が綺麗な所です。季節が変わると、近くの森でとれる物が違ってきたり、登場人物によって好みの野菜や木の実が違ってくる。

イベントもちょくちょく発生し、エンディングもいくつか種類があります。
朝早くから動物のお世話や植物の水遣り、バイト、そして村の人達とのコミュニケーションをとらなきゃいけないので、一日はアッと言う間に過ぎてしまいます。なので、一日の基本的なスケジュールをたてないと、思いも寄らぬ展開になってしまいます。

でも、苦労して育てた野菜にやがて!実がなった時、牛から牛乳をしぼれるようになった時の感動はもう最高です！
本当に、どうしてもっと早くこのゲームに出会わなかったのだろう・・・
