中南米に関心を持つ人に強く勧めたい。舞台はアンデスの架空の独立国でCIAの要員が民主運動の味方という点だけは史実と逆だが，語られる内容は中南米的エピソードに富む。私はラストで安堵し，現実世界で殺されていった多くの民主運動家，特に軍事クーデターで殺害されたアジェンデ元チリ大統領を想い泣いた。主人公は日本人なのに英語しかしゃべらないが，英語とスペイン語の勉強にもなる。PSではメタルギアソリッドと並ぶ私の気に入りゲームとなった。

昔の作品なので画像は荒い。操作性もあまり良くない。
謎解きも簡単すぎる（謎解きというより、単なる“作業”）。
キャラが立っておらず、無個性で人形のよう。

政治的・軍事的な思惑入り乱れるドロドロした話を期待していたのに、
肝心のストーリーは何も知らない高校生が、ＴＶニュースを見て適当に
でっち上げたような底の浅さ。メタルギアの足元にもおよばない。
そしてエンディングも信じられないほどおざなり。

結論……つまらない。間違っても、決して新品の値段で買わないほうがよろしいかと。

クロックタワーやMYSTなどのポインタ型のADV。
それを3Dビューでやろうってんだから相当マップに気を使わないと・・・いけないハズなんですがそんな配慮はかけらもありません。
ただ普通にバイオ型のカメラ割。見えない壁も大量発生。
操作性は最悪の一言に付きます。指定不能ポイントをかなり多くつけてあるせいで普通に移動するのがまず面倒。
５人いる設定自体もほぼ無意味。アイテムの役割を人に置き換える、以上の活用はされておらず、ライフがあったりもしますがそれも無意味（ダメージを受ける場所自体が少ない）。
ゲーム性は存在しないと思ってよいかと。

さてこういうシステムがボロボロの作品の場合でもシナリオや演出に魅せる部分はちゃんと作ってあってちょっとは楽しめる部分があるのが当たり前なのですが・・・
最初の場面で日本人同士の会話なのに英語で喋ってるトコが笑えますが面白いトコと言えばそれくらいでしょうが。
ミステリーの要素があるように紹介してるトコロをたまに見かけますがそんな物はありません。
民主指導者の暗殺のため爆破された飛行機の生存者が山を降りて民衆に生存を伝える、というストーリー。幼稚園児でもわかるレベルの深さしかありません。
謎が謎を呼んだりなんて事は全く無く、スパイも最初からスパイのような行動しか取らないので幼い子でも簡単に理解可能です（笑
ゲームの大半は雪山ですが雪山の書き込みや散策に命をかけてるようなゲームでもありません。

いくらPS期のADV過渡状態の作品とはいえ褒める部分が何一つないゲームってのも珍しい気がします。
