   飯塚武史のデザインしたかわいいキャラクターやモンスターを召喚して戦うファンタジーシミュレーションRPG。主人公の男の子と女の子のどちらかを選ぶことで、プレイヤーはそれぞれのシナリオを楽しむことができる。

   物語はレルム村から始まる。主人公はそこで聖女アメルと運命的な出会いをし、彼女を狙う黒の旅団と戦っていく。アメルは人の心にふれて傷をいやす奇跡の力を持つ不思議な少女だ。ゲームスタート時に、知識を求める召喚師集団「蒼の派閥」の召喚師であるマグナ（男）と、新米召喚師であるトリス（女）のどちらかを選んでプレイする。マグナとトリスではイベントの発生やストーリーの内容、仲間となり恋に落ちる相手も異なってくる。

   召喚システムは、前作「サモンナイト」よりもパワーアップされ個性的な召喚獣が登場する。隠しダンジョン、隠しストーリー、隠しアイテムといったさまざまな要素が絡み合ったストーリーとこの作品独特の画風による世界観もサモンナイトの魅力をより深めている。（林田信浩）

　キャラクターが可愛く、しかも美少年からいぶし銀、聖女から姉御肌までそろっているため、好きなキャラクターを作るタイプの人にお勧めでしょう。ストーリーもなかなかの出来です。

　しかし、レベル上げ（戦闘に参加していない人には経験地が入れられない）やアイテム探索など、ストーリーに関係のない戦闘をかなりの回数やらなければならず（しかも一回の戦闘に時間がかかる）かったるくなることも確か。（しかも敵の配置がステージごとに固定なのです！飽きる~！）
　時間をたっぷりゲームに使える人なら、星をもう１つ！かな。

PS2が普及し、PSのソフトは古い印象がありますがこれはいつまで経っても面白いのです。さらに簡単に進める様に見えて奥が深い。これはサモンナイトシリーズ全てに言えることですが、極めるのは（おまけダンジョンなどでレベルアップ）するのは二週め以降がいいでしょう。システムもキャラクターもストーリーも良しです。

サモンナイトシリーズ第二作目。
自分は2からはいった人間なんですがガツンとやられました。
コメディの中にもどこかほの暗さがある。序盤はそんなノリが続くんですが中盤あたりから一気にシリアスになります。でもそんな重さに疲れない展開の仕方でのめり込んでいきます。
可愛らしい絵と重厚なストーリー、そんなアンバランスさがサモンナイトを飽きさせない味なんだと自分は勝手に思ってます。
話数が多く二週目を敬遠しがちですが二週目だからこそ楽しめる伏線があります。ニヤリとするのも一興かと。
