子供の頃、ただの頭数合わせで何の知識もないままに参加させられ、
やれ、役無しだの、フリテンだのと訳も解らず怒られ、シラけられて
大嫌いになり、４０歳になるまで避けてきた麻雀。
麻雀フリークの弟に勧められて購入したのがこのソフトです。

タイトルやキャラの雰囲気から「基礎がわかる程度のものなんだろうな」
とやりはじめましたが、なかなかどうして。すべてのクラスを卒業した
頃にはもういっぱしの雀士、とは言わないまでも初心者は卒業できる
レベルにはなるでしょう。

このソフトの最大の特長は「実戦」を想定していること。人間とやる
実際の麻雀のための知識、マナー、技術が身に付く仕掛けになっていま
す。

その証拠に、チー、ポン、カン、ロン、ツモなど発声は自動でメニュー
がでません。
鳴きたいと思った瞬間に手動（三角ボタン）でメニューを出し、鳴く
種類を選びます。鳴ける状況でなくてもメニューが選べてしまうため
誤ロン、空チー、空ポンなどが「できます」。
（その場合、チョンボになったり罰符をとられる。）
普通のゲームだと鳴けないときはメニューがでないし、でても選択でき
ないようになってますもんね。これでは実戦でミスすることを覚えられ
ないわけです。
リーハイ（牌を並べ替える）を手動に設定できたりもます。

麻雀って、メンツがなかなか集まらない初心者や、集まっても打つのが速い
プロ級ばっかりだと「練習」しづらいものです。

そういう人にはお勧めですね。

私は初めて２ヶ月立ちましたが、甲斐あって２度ほど倍満を上がれるように
なりました。わかると楽しいもんですね。

履歴の保存機能がないのがいたいところ。しかし学習ソフトとしては秀逸です。

ちょっと他にはないタイプのミニゲームも面白い。
おなじみのホンイツ、チンイツ待ち当ての他にも、４枚麻雀（１メンツ１頭）、
７枚麻雀（２メンツ１頭）、開かれたいくつかの牌を自由に選んでテンパイを
作り、CPUと早いアガリを競う「２ハン（４ハン）作ろう」など。
