ニューギニア・ホープ・センター研究所でガス流出事故が発生。ガスを吸った
科学者は即死し、ゾンビになって襲い掛かる。

８１年イタリア、スペイン合作で舞台をニューギニアに設定し、普通のゾンビ
の他に食人族風第三世界原住民ゾンビで異色を放とうとしているが、音楽は、
ロメロ監督作品「ゾンビ」のゴブリン・サウンドからまんまの流用という節操
のなさ。ストーリーも色々つなぎ合わせたような感じで、作品のオリジナルテ
ィは皆無に等しい。でも、嫌いじゃないんですよね。それはもう、気が滅入る
ような残酷描写と「ゾンビ４」にも負けない後味の悪いラストがあるから。
私は廃盤になる直前ぐらいに購入できたので運がよかったと思いますが、本作
を未見のゾンビ映画ファンならぜがひでも観ておくべき作品だと思います。
しかし、このプレミア価格を見てビックリ（汗）。高いね・・・

ロメロの「ゾンビ」ファンにとっては、音楽や展開が似ていて（音楽は全く同じ引用なのだが）、腹が立つかもしれない。しかし、ゾンビ・ブームに乗って作られた本作は、ある意味二度と製作されない作品である。内容や演技、どれをとっても三流なのだが、「ゾンビ」追従作品として、小難しく考えなければ最後まで観れる。

あきらかにＩＱの低い脚本、演出、演技、パクった音楽、
ノリだけは異常に良いが、かみ合ってない特殊効果など
なかなか帰ろうとしない迷惑な客を帰すのに最適な１本。
なのにそんなにキライでないのは何の因果か？
実はゾンビ映画やモンド映画に必要なものは蓋が持ち上がるほど
入っている大サービスっぷり、このイタリア人のサービス精神は
是非見習うべきだなあ。（誰が？）
