フィンランド、メロデスバンドの4thにして最後の作品。
アンティ・コッコのギターにのる、
バシ・ヒルトゥラの美しいキーボードの融合が絶品。
全曲捨て曲無し。（7はACCEPTのカバー）
なぜ、この作品が傑作と認められないのかが、
不思議でなりませんが、強いて言えば、
Voのデス声に、地獄の底から声を出しているような感じが無い
ぐらいしか欠点がありません。
これを聴かずして、メロデスは語れません！

スピードは少々抑え気味になり、壮大な世界観を幻想的かつ叙情的なメロディで表現していることから、前作よりも大人になった感じがした（当たり前だが）。ギターよりもやはりキーボードの貢献度が大きい。メロデス（シンフォニックデス）マニアには前半の曲がとても印象に残るが、後半（５曲目以降）は少々物足りないかも。それでもやはり１曲目~４曲目は買う価値アリ。
