折しも日本の音楽シーンがR&Bブームに沸いていた98年、17歳でLAにいた彼女は、ゴスペル・クワイヤーの一人としてメアリー・J.ブライジのステージに立ち、ジャネット・ジャクソン「ゴー・ディープ」のプロモ・ビデオにバック・ダンサーとして参加していた。これが何を意味するのかって、破格のニュー・パワー・ジェネレーションはスタート地点からして違うってこと。あれから3年、R&Bのフィールドにも淘汰の季節が訪れて、もはや研ぎ澄まされた個性だけしか残れない状況となりつつある今だからこそ、彼女の出る幕なのかもしれない。ダイナミックな歌い回しも半端ないラップ・スキルもほとんど本場レベル、たとえばモニカVSブランディーのボーイフレンド争奪戦に加わってもたぶん互角に渡り合えるはず。そこは洋の東西を行き来しながら染みつけてきた米国気質も大きいのだろうけど、最後は本人の才覚だから。次はこの鉄壁さの先の自然さを目指してほしい。 (除川哲朗) --- 2001年11月号

一言で言うと最高。
1曲目から最後まで完璧だと思う。
どれもｲｲ曲ばかり。
おおげさに聞こえるかもしれないけど個人的に全部シングルカットされて欲しいくらい。
全曲英語で邦楽と知らなかったら洋楽と間違えるのも当たり前。
ｵｽｽﾒは全曲！と言いたいとこだけど・・・

この6曲はとりあえず聴いて欲しい。
黒人と間違えるほどのｿｳﾙﾌﾙな歌い方からがらんと変わったラップまでなんでもこなす彼女。
セカンドも出たがまずはこれを聞いてから。
洋楽を聴きはじめたいという今まで邦楽しか聞いてなかった人にはぴったりかも。
日本はこういう歌手がもっと必要ですね。

とにかくすごく歌がうまい。NY育ちもあって英語のラップなんてモロシスター。すごくかっちょいい。R&B調の曲が続くこのアルバムは、彼女の歌のうまさが堪能できる。（１０）なんてモロUS産R&Bで超かっちょいいし、（１１）のミディアムもすごくいい。シングルカットされた（４）（５）（１４）を始め、（２）（３）（６）（１３）など聞きどころも多い。ただ、J-R&Bにありがちなサビでのポップすぎる展開もあるので、それがもっとハードだったら言うことがなかった。ただ今後どうなるかがすごく楽しみな才能。
