今回もスゴイことになっている。DISC-1〈ヴルーム・ヴルーム〉は96年のメキシコ・シティ、DISC-2〈オン・ブロードウェイ〉は95年ニューヨークのライヴ。厳密に言うと両方とも新作ではない。DISC-1はネット配信された音源の高音質完全版、DISC-2は『コレクターズ~vol.2』収録の音源の曲順・曲目を変えたもの。だが今回追加された曲がファン垂涎の曲だったりする。「21世紀のスキッツォイド・マン」は74年7月1日のセントラル・パークの解散コンサート以来22年ぶりの復活で、日本では未だ演奏されたことのない羨望の曲。早いピッチの演奏だが、エイドリアン・ブリューの高い声は向いていない!~ 「フリー・アズ・ア・バード」は『コレクターズ』のライナーに演奏したことが書いてありながら、収録されていなかった幻の演奏。ブリューのピアノ・サンプリング弾き語りでジョン・レノンのオリジナルに近い演奏。この2曲のために買っても損はない。 (竹之内円) --- 2001年11月号
