彼女が商業的に成功したのは「タッチ」とその後の主題歌・挿入歌だったのだが、それはそれで別にベスト盤が出ていると考慮したのか、その関連曲を２曲に押さえ、アイドル時代の楽曲を中心にしたのが嬉しい。

松田聖子と同期デビューで、その歌唱力や楽曲のクオリティは、決して彼女もひけを取っていなかったことが、これを聴いて分かると思う。

レコード会社のベスト盤でいつも洩れてしまう「Vacance」が今回入っていて嬉しかったのだが、その代わりどうして「愛してモナムール」が洩れたのだろう？
これが☆５個に出来ない理由だ。

久々に出た岩崎良美のベストアルバムです。「ラストダンスには早過ぎる」が初めてCD化されました。音源をデジタルリマスタリングしているので音もよいです。なかなかのお薦めです。

初回プレスがあっという間に売り切れて、次のプレスまで、
結構時間があいた、いまどき珍しいベストアルバムであった。
今までのシングルから16曲をマスタリングしなおして収録して、
（うち1曲が初CD化）60分ちょっとに収めた形なのだが、
たぶん、ファンの人から言わせると、
「あれも入ってない・これも入ってない」という感じだと思う。
まあ、そのあたりはこのあと、BOXCDが3タイプも発売されているので、
その辺はおいといて・・・
しかし、このCDを聞く限りでも、歌い方や表現力は、
すごくある人だと思う。
デビュー曲をアイドルとしては、
たぶん異例な雰囲気の「赤と黒」を持ってきて、
その後の「涼風」「あなた色のマノン」そして、
少し飛んで「ごめんねDarling」「ときどき旅行」など、
当時のアイドルとしては、かなり音楽性に凝った曲を歌っていた。
しかし、おもろいなぁ~と思ったのは、
「愛してモナムール」の両A面だった「Vacance」が収録されて、
モナムールが抜けてしまったこと。
まあ、こういう選曲は、なんとなく選曲者に
「好きな人」がいるっていうこだわりを感じるが、
それがセールス的には、どうつながるかは、微妙な雰囲気も。
でも、初回プレスは全部売れたから、まっいいかぁ~。
