N.Y.パンクの黎明期をCBGBクラブを舞台に、アーティストのライヴ映像及び、関係者のインタビューでまとめた作品。とはいっても、、ラモーンズ、デッド・ボーイズ、ブロンディの３組しかフューチャーしてないけど。
貴重な映像、インタビューは確かに有難いのだが、なんと（しょうがないけど）音声がモノラルなうえ、海賊盤並みの映像。

ま、いかにしてパンク・ムーヴメントが起こったか等を知るには、重宝するかも。
しかし、ここで一番重要なのは、デッド・ボーイズの映像が納められていること。正規盤、それもDVDで彼らの映像は、まず出ていないはず。パフォーマンスの過激さに定評があったのもうなずけるライヴが見られるので、このためだけに買っても損はしないはず。

勿論、ラモーンズの最初のGIGには、客がいなかった有名な話や、ブロディが売れていく様等の見所も有り。
