内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

日本でボサ・ノヴァといえばこの人という人も少なくなかろうソニア・ローザ(ソニア・ホーザ)が74年に発表した、大野雄二編曲/プロデュースによるアルバムの復刻。74年発表当時はソニーのステレオ用視聴盤として配布された非売品だったというレア盤。端整で落ち着いたサウンド、演奏はゴージャスだが派手ではなく、ソニアの美声を見事に引き立てている。が、楽器音色にいちいちうるおいがあって聴き込むほどに引き込まれる。さすがは大野雄二。中年にとってはホッとリラックスできることうけあいの良盤。 (湯浅学) --- 2001年11月号

ソニア・ホーザ（ローザ）の、和製ボサの、最高の１枚。ルパンでお馴染み大野雄二サウンドと、これ以上ないくらいキュートな歌声のブラジル人シンガー、ソニアが組んだ、信じられないほどグルーヴィな作品。大野サウンドはブラジル音楽的には決して本物ではありませんが、ソニアが彼女の中にうずまくブラジル音楽のグルーヴの中にバンドを巻き込んでしまっているのは凄すぎ。もちろん、スキャットも連発。名曲「イパネマの娘」をはじめ、トム・ベル作のフィリー・ソウル「ユー・メイク・ミー・フィール・ブランニュー」のボサ・ヴァージョンなどメロウ・グルーヴ・ファンも絶対納得。とにかく聴かずに死ねない奇跡の１枚。

20年位前、学生時代に買った大野雄二のLPに彼女が参加していました。とても懐かしく聞きました。完成度は別にして、この二人の息の合ったサウンドと何と言ってもレアアルバムということは評価できます。大野雄二に”ボサノバ”ワールドを期待するのではなく、あくまで叙情的なきれいなサウンドを求め、そこにソニアの歌声を乗せて、軽快に聞きましょう。

元々オーディオチェック用のテスト盤だけに録音に変なクセが無く
とても聴きやすいアルバムです。
といっても単に聞きやすいだけではなく、「Casa Forte」の様に
参加メンバー全員が存分に熱くなった演奏もあり(個人的にはこれが一番
楽しいです)単にＢＧＭとしてだけではなく聴き込んでも充分に満足
できる素敵なアルバムです。
大野氏の譜面のファンは無論ですが、演奏のファンの方たちに是非
聴いて貰いたいですね。
