英五ちゃんが良いなあと思ったのは、ほぼ30年近く前のことです。それでもライブに出かけるわけでもなく、当時レコードを買うわけでもなく。なのに、ふと野風増をカラオケで歌ってみたくなり、検索したところ値段も手ごろで収録曲もなかなかと思いこの1枚を即購入。・・・やられました。英五ちゃんの声を聞いた途端思いがけず涙があふれて。英五ちゃんが好きなのに、気がついたら何も持っていなかったという方がいらしたら、是非おすすめです。

私、実は18歳なのですが河島英五さんはかなり好きです。
父が所持していた時代おくれのシングルCDを子供の頃（小学生）聴いていたのですが取り憑かれたように何度もリピートしていました(^^;
時代は変わっても河島英五の楽曲は朽ち果てませんね。国宝にしてもいいぐらいです。時代おくれも悪くないなぁ…と思いつつ10年先も聴いているでしょう。

河島さんの場合、ライブが命。
ＣＤで聞くにはこれ一枚で良いかもしれません。
ああ、何でこんなに早く召されたのだろう、残念至極。
