某事故報道によって放送が中断されてしまった最終回の再放送を見損ねた私は、ＤＶＤでやっと最終回を見ることができた。しかしそれは、欲しかった最終回とは異なるものだった。

パリでのコレクションを約束されながらも日本へ戻ったフェイに、発表の場を与えようと奔走する彰たち。その会場は、間もなく取り壊されようとしているフェイと仲間たちが住んでいたアパートだった。その姿を見た恵美は、フラワーアレンジとして準備に参加する。それぞれの思いを抱えながら開催されたコレクションは、インターネットで配信され、大きな話題を呼ぶ。成功を見届けた彰は、フェイと恵美に手紙を残し、自分の好きな山へ写真を撮りに行く。そこへ追ってきたのは、恵美ではなくフェイだった。

自由奔放に生きるフェイと対照的に、ただひたすらに彰のことを思う恵美。最後はきっと恵美と彰のハッピーエンドだと信じていた私でしたが、違うかたちでのエンドを迎えました。コレクションのシーンは確かに見応えがありましたが、「なぜ？」という思いの残る結末でした。
