Phewと羅針盤、ROVO等で活躍する山本精一によるパンク・ユニット。伝説のアーントサリー以来となる“パンク”というコンセプトにこだわったPhewと多彩な音楽的背景をもつ山本のテンションみなぎる作品。

2000年5月のライヴを期に結成されたというバンドのファースト。PHEWを中心に、山本精一や山本久士、西村雄介など、PHEWとのユニットに集まったメンバーたちによる新たなユニットと考えてもいいが、なんといっても、聴かせてくれるのが思いっきりパンクなサウンドであるのが特徴。しかしながら、一般的なパンクと異るのは、それぞれにキャリアがあるメンバーたちが聴かせるのが“原点としてのパンク”ではなく“到達点としてのパンク”であるところだろう。今だからこそのパンク、であることが聴き手の耳に突き刺さるはず。 (鈴木祐) --- 2001年10月号
