日本語を教えている母が、日本の歌を紹介する時、
始めに必ず教えるのが”赤とんぼ”と”ちいさい秋みつけた”なんです。
ある日母が何かの弾みで急に”叱られて”が聞きたい、と言うので、
”童謡って言ったらボニー・ジャックスだろ”
という訳で買ったこのCDです。

しかし、やはり童謡は良い。いつ聞いても、違う感動がある。

日本料理店を開いてる知人が店内でこのCDを流したら、
沢山のお客から”なんのCDだい？何処で売っているのか？”
と聞かれたそうです。

台湾の年配の方達は、日本の軍歌は嫌いでも、
童謡（と演歌）は好きだ、という人が多いです。

日本の文化に興味がある方だけではなく、
日本の方にこそ、じっくり聞いてもらいたい曲がこのCDに詰まっています。

”ちいさい!秋みつけた”が収録されてないのは、唯一残念な所です。

去年小学校1年生になった娘に、一年間音楽の授業を受けて、
昔からある唱歌をどれだけ習ったのか教科書を開いて訊いてみました。
すると、「うみ」と「ひのまる」の2曲だけという驚くべき結果に！！
この結果を受けて真っ青になったわたしが思わず買ったCD集です。

今の子供たちは、ゆとり教育が導入され、週休2日になり教育内容自体が大幅に減らされているうえに、行事、行事でその減らされた教育内容さえ100%習っていません。全ての教科において言えることです。音楽だって例外ではありません。

このCDには、現在の口語ではもう使われなくなった美しい日本語、どこか郷愁を誘い、尚且つどこか懐かしく切なくなる旋律・・・日本人が、親から子へ、子から孫へと歌い継ぎたいそういったエッセンスがギュッと詰まっています。

アブクのように流行っては消えていくその時々の「アイドル」「アーティスト」の歌ではなく、何十年も歌い継がれ、世代を超えて愛されてきた唱歌の真骨頂がここにはあります。こういったCDは高齢の方が昔を偲んで買い求めるというのもアリだと思いますが、わたしはむしろ「今」小学校低学年くらいのお子さんを持つ親御さんに購入していただきたいと思います。

想像してみてください。
あなたがおじいさん、おばあさんになった時に、
孫と一緒に口ずさむ唱歌のあるしあわせを。
一家にひとつ。世代をつなぐ常備薬です。

幼い頃、私の聞いていたのはこういう童謡カセットでした。車のカーステでもそれが流れていて、タイトルをみるだけで郷愁に胸が熱くなります。
結婚して子供に童謡をと探していましたが、今の童謡とはやはり時代がちがうんですね。
子供はそういう曲が好きそうですが、私はやっぱりこちらがいいです
ひとつひとつ思い出す度懐かしさに涙がでそうです。
歌は時代を越えますよね。
