ハードロックの名曲゛タイ・ユア･マザー･ダウン"で始まり，複雑なコーラスの゛テイク・マイ・ブレス・アウェイ"，変わった３拍子の゛ミリオネアー・ワルツ"その他ポップな゛懐かしのラヴァー・ボーイ"、それに日本のファンに捧げられ日本語で歌われている゛手をとりあって"等名曲ぞろい。

゛オペラ座の夜"の後に発表したので影に隠れがちですが確実に名盤の１枚です。

これは断じてオペラ座の夜の二番煎じなどに非ず、彼等の最高傑作である。彼等の耽美精神はここで最高に開花し、青春の甘美とその永遠性を歌い上げる。

メイのギターは簡素にして絢爛、素晴らしい冴えを見せマーキュリーのピアノと絶妙の絡みを見せる、テイラーのアシッドな倦怠、ディーコンのファンキーなポップセンス。エクスタシー、わかるものにはわかる、これぞ誰にも凌駕できないクイーンの最高傑作である。

日本ではすでに不動の地位を得ていた頃の作品なので、なんと日本語で歌ってくれている曲があります。たどたどしい日本語で”手をとりあてこのま~まいこ~・・・”と唄ってくれています。是非聞いてみてくだされ！
