自分の番になったら、裏向きにタイルを一枚表にして、既に並べられているタイルにつなげて置きます。このとき地形の絵が連続するように置かなければなりません。絵が繋がっていればどこにでも置けます。そのとき置いたタイルにコマを置くことができます。コマが将来得点になるのです。だからいい場所だと思えばコマを置きます。また、既にコマが置かれているなら、タイルを置くときに自分のコマが得点できるように工夫しておきましょう。

世界遺産でも知られている古代ローマ時代の城塞都市カルカソンヌを
モチーフにしたドイツ製ボードゲーム。
70枚近くの地形タイルを順番にめくり、既に並べられているタイルに
繋げていきます。その際、都市や道路、草原、修道院に配下の駒を置き、
所有権(点数)を争います。

タイルをめくる運の要素もありますが、タイルを置き方は自由で、
どの地形を占領するか、どのように占領した地形を完成させるか、あるいは
他人の地形を完成させないように邪魔をする、・・・といった戦略的な要素や、
都市、道路、修道院で、すぐに得点可能な地形を占領するか、または
草原を占領し、将来的な得点に期待するか、という要素もあり、
非常に運と知略のバランスがとれたゲームです。

このゲームの適正年齢は8歳以上となっていますが、7歳の子供と一緒に
楽しんでいます。最近はコンピュータゲームが流行っていますが、
コンピュータゲームで一人で遊ぶより、ボードゲームで家族みんなで
楽しむのもよいかと思います。

さすが、ドイツの年間ゲーム大賞を受賞したゲームといった感じです。

下の方と同様、私も７歳になる娘と楽しんでいるゲームの１つです。
「カードをひき、道をつなげ、さらに城を大きくしていく」というのが娘にはとても楽しいようで、時には協力して城を大きくしたり、敵対しながらそれぞれの城を大きくしたりしています。
自分のコマを置いている道や修道院、城は、完成した時点で得点が入ります。慣れないうちは得点計算がややこしいかもしれませんが、まずは、カードをつなげ「自分たちの町を作っていく楽しさ」を味わってみるのもいいかもしれません＾＾

・仲間が家に集まりやすい方、海外ボードゲームをこれから始める方にオススメ
・不向きな方はほとんどいませんが、旅先に持っていけるようなものではありません。

楽しさ：ドイツゲーム大賞のお墨付き。テレビゲームよりこっち！
教育的価値：数・図柄の一致・多数決など小学校中学年以上に良いかも
耐久性：丈夫ではありますが紙製です。水はNG。
全体評価：初心者からゲーマーまで楽しめるゲーム。おすすめです。

2〜5人用。絵柄が美しく、2人からでも楽しめる箱庭・陣取り的ゲーム。

既に分かりやすい説明や他サイトでのわかりやすい解説も多数ありますが一応、だいたいの流れを。
1.タイルをめくる
2.既に置いてあるタイルと隣接させて四方全ての図形が合うように設置
3.今設置したタイルの「街道」「街」「修道院」「草原」いずれかに配下駒を置く
4.「街道」「街」「修道院」が完成した場所から駒を回収し、タイル枚数などに応じて得点する。
5.1〜4を繰り返し、タイルが無くなった段階で最終得点集計をし、最高得点者が勝利。

駒の配置条件や「草原」の得点計算などは省きましたが、手順や計算も他のドイツゲームに比べ簡単で、大人が最終集計を手伝うことで子供でもできるゲームです。公式では「対象年齢8歳以上」です。

町や街道をつなげて大きく、長くしていく楽しみもあり、対戦相手と争ったり協力したりすることができるので、どんな性格のプレイヤーでも楽しめると思います。
「こういう頭使いそうなのは無理！」という人にも「まぁまぁ」と説得すればルールも簡単なので楽しんでもらえることでしょう。
また、こうした多人数プレイゲームにありがちな「2人だとつまらない・・・」ということもなく、2人でもじっくり楽しめますよ。
