4.0 out of 5 stars 体力のない桑田佳祐か、夜遊びしない横山剣か？, 2004/9/6
ファーストの「世界はパール」と併せて聴くと、音のレベルの高さもさる事ながら、佐伯健三の歌詞の世界が今を予言していたなあ、と実感します（特に一番目の曲）。思想をポップミュージックの中で違和感なく歌に出来る才能はこの時代の中でも突出していました。恐らく今もなかなかいないでしょう。個人的にはサザンの桑田の言葉のイメージ・レトリックやクレージーケンバンドの男のインテリトホホ感に近い感触を得てます。

ただ、ボーカリストとしての力量が今一つだったのが惜しむらくというか。。本当は星５つにしたいとこなんですが、これで減点。でも、この歌詞の世界は朗々と歌われると白けるしなあ。難しいところです。佐伯健三氏はこの当時サイズのファースト、セカンドでも傑作を提供していたのでそのあたりの仕事も含めた歌詞集が出てくれたら買いたいところです。最後に祝ベスト発売！

窪田のギターがもちろんパール兄弟のサウンドの中心ですが、サエキけんぞうの歌詞もへんてこで耳に残ります。

TRON岬は名曲！　ちょっと松永ボーカルバージョンも聞いてみたい気がするが、へにゃ声のサエキのヴォーカルだから雰囲気が出てるのかもしれませんね
