ブロンディの3rdアルバムで、前の2枚にあったNYパンクらしさがなくよりポップな印象を受けます。プロデュースはザ　ナックのプロニューサーとしてもお馴染みのマイク　チャップマンです。このアルバムはブロンディの最高傑作だと私は思います。世界で一番好きなアルバムです。Sunday girlやHeart of glassなどのヒット曲は言うまでもなく、Pretty babyなどのシングルカットされてない曲もノスタルジックでかわいいのです。また、パワーポップファンに大人気のThe NervesのHanging on the telephoneのカヴァーはすごくカッコいいです。この曲を選ぶとはブロンディのセンスのよさに感心します。それから、ロバート　フィリップも一曲参加しています。今回はボーナストラックとしてHeart of glassの原曲であるOnce I had loveやTレックスのカヴァーBang a gongその他ライブ2曲が収録されています。本当にポップでかわいいアルバムです。

ヒット曲満載のブロンディのアルバムです。HeartOfGlassのかよわい、OneWayOrAnotherの奇怪な？ボーカルという風にデボラ・ハリーの様々な声が聴けますし、サウンドも小気味良く充分楽しめるアルバムです。

発売当初にLPで聴いた時には、軽いポピュラーグループと思ったのですが、その後は、ラップやディスコサウンドを先取りして活躍しました。このアルバムにも色々な種が入っていて、あらためてよいアーティストであることを認識しました。別バージョンやライブも含まれていて、ボーナストラック充分楽しめます。

当初はニューヨークのアングラ系バンドとして活動していたブロンディーが、この傑作アルバムにより、才能あふれるポップバンドに脱皮したといえる。
ディスコ、フレンチポップス、ニューヨークサウンド、ニューウエーブの諸要素が、全てポップスの透明で明快な風呂敷でまとめ上げられている。
そして、なによりも、本アルバムで一番好きな曲"One Way or Another"を聴けば、全身をなんともいえない快感が走り、頭が開放され、腰がおのずと動き出すのである！
