「パラレルラインズ」に続く４枚目のアルバムです。前作で開花した彼らの才能がここでも発揮され、「ドリーミング」の軽快さもあれば「サウンドアスリープ」の安らぎもある、変化に富んだ楽しめる内容で是非お勧めです。曲としてはデボラ・ハリーとクリス・スタイン作のものがメロディ等に優れていますが、今回はキーボードのジミー・ディストリ作の「スローモーション」「アトミック」（共作）がかなり光っており、その他のメンバーも曲作りに関わっており、グループの総合力を発揮したものになっています。全ての曲がシングルヒットを期待できた内容です。

本作品ははその内容からもブロンディの充実ぶりをうかがわせる出来映えだ。ベスト盤ではないにも関わらず、聴き手がそう思うほどヒット性に富んだ曲がのっけからを目白押しである。あまりいい言葉ではないが、マドンナ以前のセックス・シンボルとして一躍名を馳せたデビー・ハリーはあるときはクールに、あるときは優しく、またあるときは激しく、そのスタイルの変容ぶりが楽しく素晴らしい。#9「銀河のアトミック」で聴かれるビブラートを効果的に用いたバックの音作りもブロンディ・サウンドとして独特の宇宙感を漂わせる。そこここでパンクの香りを感じさせる曲に70年代の音楽シーンを懐かしみながら、彼等の代表曲#1「ドリーミン」、#8「素敵な時間をスローモーション」、#9「銀河のアトミック」を中心に!全編にひしめくブロンディの魅力を堪能できる一枚だ。

ブロンディの傑作は、「恋の平行線」「恋のハートビート」「オートアメリカン」の３枚なのです。
この「恋のハートビート」も前作「恋の平行線」に続き、ポップでロックなサウンド満載の傑作なのです。
いきなりのオープニングチューン「ドリーミン」にノックダウン。
続く「ハーデスト・パート」も乗り乗りです。
そして、「恋の平行線」にはなかったバラード、「シェイラ」と「サウンド・ア・スリープ」。
この２曲がまたまた素晴らしい！！デボラ・ハリーの新たな魅力に浸れます。
更に、某１００円ショップパロディ番組で流れる「銀河のアトミック」も収録されています。
この曲、何だか西部劇のＢＧＭみたいですが、いかにもブロンディな傑作ですよね。
さて、この紙ジャケ盤にもボートラ収録ですが、今回はそれほど貴重なテイクはありません。
ライブバージョンが４曲です。
ロックの歴史を語る上で外せない名盤「恋のハート・ビート」。傑作です！！
