FIREBIRDがレーベルをRISE ABOVE からMUSIC FOR NATIONS に移籍しての2nd。

こりゃいい、すげぇいい、めちゃくちゃいい。“唸るリフ”“渋く情熱的なソロ”“クールでリズミカルなベースライン”“タイトで躍動するドラム”それら楽器の一つ一つが織成す見事なアンサンブルが脳神経直撃なプレイをぶちかまし、前作を遥かに凌ぐ曲としての良さが全体の雰囲気をさらに盛り上げ、「とどめ」とばかりにビルスティアのギターが冴えまくる！！前作かなり楽器に殺されていたビルのヴォーカルも今までほど細いと感じさせずそれなりな歌唱力を披露している（結構努力をしたのだろうと個人的に思った）。

1stの頃、「待ってるぞ！！」と俺が期待した以上の出来、本当にこりゃ想像以上でした。ロックという音楽の持つパワー、カッコ良さ、そういったものをヒシヒシと体全身に行きわたらせる、そんな活力に溢れたアルバムでありサウンドに仕上がっている。

元NAPALM DEATH~カテドラルのビル・スティアのバンドと言われて引いてしまわないで下さい。サウンドは荒くヘヴィでありながら実に土臭く、ジャケットの印象で手に取った方の期待を裏切らない内容だと思います。Dr.のルディックは元SPIRITUAL BEGGARS。日本盤ボーナス・トラック11はラッシュのカヴァー。

最高(*^o^*)。70年代のブリティッシュロックを21世紀に蘇らせたファイヤーバードの最高なアルバム。ロックの普遍性を示す名盤。2001年は、コレとアーク・エネミー。そういや、マイケル・アモットも、スピリチュアル・ベガーズで、古臭くてイカしたロックをやってるよなぁ。偶然でしょうか?
