熊本で94年に結成。ヨシとポチョムキンを中心とし、これまでミニ・アルバムやマキシ・シングルを発表してきたが、ついにフル・アルバムをリリースした。何を取り繕ったって結局は行儀のいいサウンドだからぼくにとってヒップホップは退屈だが、これは違った。ゴージャスでもプリミティヴな音作りは丈夫な胃袋で何でも食い散らしポップでもあり、絶倫な言葉の選び方と声のスピードで、すいすい曲を聴かせてしまう全体の構成力がある。約73分21曲、みっちりと具が詰まった。ただしやはりヒップホップ、すっきりと聴ける。 (行川和彦) --- 2001年10月号

まあまあみなさん聴いときなさいよ
彼らも「迷わず聴け、聴けばわかるさ」と歌ってることだしね
調子のイイ下ネタもこれまた胸キュンですよ
悪いことはいいませんこれは絶対聴くべきです
なんかやたらと売れてきちゃってるヤツらと比べて全然ディープだしかんなりカッコイイ
違いのわかる人間になりましょう

ポチョムキンは天才。えろりりっく、流れるようなラップ。自分の世界ばもっとるばい。対してヨシは韻踏みまくりの正統派。ふたりでガキレン。12人とも言われとる。聴いといたがいいよ。

全２１曲…質より量と考えてしまう人が大半なのではないか？そんな哀れな人たちをも笑い者にしてしまうほど、餓鬼レンジャーは本当の意味でカッコイイ。

ガチガチに韻を踏み倒すスタイルのヨシと、フロウがなんとも気持ち良いポチョムキンの２ＭＣ。トラックはラッパ我リヤに似た感じがあるが、男臭さを際立たせている遠近法とでも例えておこうか。参加ＭＣがかわいそうなほど目立たないのは、もちろん２人のＭＣが素晴らしいからであろう。

食べ物に例えれば、最高級の食材を大量に調理した(しかもその素材を上手く生かしきった)料理をのせた皿をリスナーの前にドンと置くような感じか。アナタは全部平らげられるかな？さあ召し上がれ！
