   19世紀末のヨーロッパを舞台の中心として、発明好きの少年ジャンと自分の出生を知らぬ少女ナディアが、科学を操り世界を支配しようとする組織「ネオアトランティス」と、彼らに対立する謎の潜水艦「ノーチラス号」との戦いに巻き込まれていく。
   作りこまれた設定や、圧倒的に描きこまれたメカ描写、当初の敵である『タイムボカン』シリーズの3悪人を想起させる「グランディス一行」との協力など、ツボを押さえた展開が観ていて実に楽しい。（田中 元）

TVアニメ史上最高の作品。DVDは、LDマスターをベースにしているので、フィルムのゴミなどが残っているのが残念だった。しかし、デジタル処理されているので画像は抜けるように綺麗。
