　さてこの巻の見所です。
なんといってもまずは新オープニングです。新しい画はやたら目がリアル。怖い・・・。あれフォウの顔ではないですよ。と私的にはややいまいちでした。
　そしてヤンキー軍人、ヤザン・ゲーブル登場!!!　普通の人間なのに強化人間用MSギャプランを操る豪傑。彼に敵味方は関係無。邪魔者は消し去るのみ。あっさり足利将軍・・じゃなかったジャマイカン少佐(マイナーネタ、すみません・・)を消し去りました。そして彼の活躍は「ZZ」へと続きます。
　さらに懐かしのグワジン、ゲルググ(といってもスクラップですが)が登場。懐かしいなあ。
　にしてもエウーゴも規律の無い組織ですなあ。皆好き勝手。カツとヘンケン艦長は女性ばかり見ているし(カミーユの最初の姿にだぶりますね)、なんとMSで出撃するのは早いもの勝ち(ファVSレコア!?!?)。追っかけっこしてるし・・・。その何処か抜けているところも面白いからいいんですけどね。

第７巻の最大の見所は、ヤザンとカミーユの戦いである。ヤザンは『Ｚガンダム』の直接的な続編である『ＺＺガンダム』にも登場するキャラクターである。トップクラスのニュータイプと戦っても互角以上の戦闘を繰り広げることができるので、おそらく、ガンダムシリーズの中でも最強のオールドタイプであると言えるだろう。戦いに勝っても負けても死なないことが彼の強さを証明している。ヤザン、シロッコ、そしてジェリド。第７巻では、全く異なる魅力を宿したティターンズのキャラクター達を楽しめる。

第２３話にて、「時代は変わったんだ！オールドタイプは失せろッ！！」と叫ぶジェリドに、「お前もオールドタイプだろうが！！」とツッコミをいれた人も多いことだろう。ジェリドはいい男になれる素質はあるし、ニュータイプの素養もある。でも、彼はいい男でもニュータイプでもなく、ただ単に日本アニメ史上空前絶後のヤラレキャラである。それこそが彼の魅力だ。

一方、真のニュータイプであるシロッコは、エゥーゴとの月面都市フォン・ブラウンの制空権を巡る攻防を制する。さすが木星帰りの天才である。ニュータイプ能力が開花していないジェリドですらも感じるほどのプレッシャーを放ち、敵・見方を問わず、その場にいた者たちに不快感を与える彼の能力はズバ抜けているといっていいだろう。カッコ良過ぎである。

この巻ではブレックス准将が暗殺され後のエウーゴの指導をシャアに託したり（ブレックスの最期は安らかな顔でせめてもの救い）、カツがサラに裏切られたりします。
「ジオンの亡霊」ではヤザンのギャプランとカミーユのZが旧ジオン軍の戦艦の中で派手なチャンバラあり、ジャマイカン少佐が恨みを抱く味方のヤザンに謀殺されたり、３０分の話にしてはストーリー的にてんこ盛りです。更に最高の作画レベルです。
ところで、第7巻のパッケージですが、VHS版はエウーゴのメインキャラが揃い踏みでよかったのですが、DVD版はちょっと・・・ですね。まあこの巻に限った事ではないのですが。（でもDVDのメインメニューにはVHSの絵が採用されています）
