小学校のころテレビで毎週見てました、他の名作アニメも見ましたが私はこの作品が一番好きです。主人公のロミオとアルフレドの友情が良いです。放映されいた時も今も最終回を見ると思わず泣いてしまいます。
笠原弘子さんが歌う主題歌もいい歌だと思います。
小さい子供さんにみせたい作品です。

数ある世界名作劇場の中でも最高傑作だと思うのはこれです。
生きる上での重要なことがたくさん散りばめられています。ロミオは人のために行動する勇気を持っていますし、作品の中で一生懸命に字を学び、本を読むシーンは印象的です。そして最後は教育者に・・・。

親友アルフレドの「ロミオは自分がどんなに優しいかちっとも分かっていない」という感じの台詞は胸に残っています。

こんなに美しい友情があるのか、と言うほど最高の友情を子供がみせてくれたことに感動です。現代にはないような、楽しいだけではなく苦しいことも共にし、それでも笑い合う友情を今の子供達も学んで欲しいですね。

「君は僕の希望そのものだ」なんてまず言えないでしょ。こんな友情を持てることが何より幸せなんだろう!な~。

平和、自由、勇気、優しさ、学ぶこと、そして友情。数え上げたらきりがないほど輝かしい宝石のような作品です。
世界名作劇場、復活して~。

貧しい家庭に生まれ育った11歳の少年、ロミオ。彼の家庭に悲劇が訪れ、ロミオは煙突掃除夫としてミラノに売られることに。・・・
家庭を思いやり、非情な運命に立ち向かっていくロミオの姿が素晴らしい。同時に、生活苦のために幼い子供たちが売られる時代が確かにあったのだということを思い知らされる。

こういう作品をもっと放送してほしい。世界名作劇場が復活しないかなぁ・・・。
