　久しぶりに彼女の歌を聞いた。改めて今、聞いてみると、その歌のうまさにびっくりする。かわいらしく語りかけるような歌い回し、のびやかな高音、はっきりとした言葉の発音、時にははちきれんばかりの元気さを見せたかと思うと、しっとりと大人の曲を聞かせたりする。彼女のデビュー曲でさえ、最近はやりのナントカ娘などと比べると雲泥の差だ。同じアイドルというカテゴリーの中で、どうしてこれほどの差があるのだろうか。

　特にお薦めなのは、「秋風のロンド」（涙が出るほど感動的）、「お嬢さん泥棒」（レコードにならなかった幻の曲。ボーイッシュな歌い方が新鮮）、「ひとりぼっちのクリスマス・ソング」（「風を見つめて」のB面だが隠れた名曲）、「９月になれば」（「夏のお嬢さん」のB面だがとにかく歌い方がかわいい）、などなど。かぞえあげたら切りがありません。もちろん「いとしのロビン・フッドさま」とか「夏のお嬢さん」とか「Do

榊原郁恵の25周年記念に発売されたCDです。A面を全部CD化しており、今までにCD化されていなかった曲も多数入っています。また、郁恵自身が選んだアルバムの中からの曲もCD化されています。4枚組みのCDで、中身も充実しています。これを逃すとなかなか手に入らないかも。

4.0 out of 5 stars 「秋風のロンド」を憶えていますか？, 2006/4/16
ディスク１に収録されている「秋風のロンド」という曲は何十年も前の曲だが初めて聴いたときから今までずっと綺麗な印象があり、感動してしまう名曲である。イントロからＡメロ、Ｂメロ、サビ、美しい旋律が流れるように展開していく。思わずうっとりしてしまうメロディの良さは感動的であり、すこし寂しさを感じさせる歌詞も味わい深いものがある。シンプルだが、完成度の高い作品だ。おそらく榊原郁恵ファンでもこの曲はほどんど印象が薄いのではないだろうか。たぶんあまりヒットしなかったと思う。だが、ヒットしようが、しまいが、世間の評価がイマイチだろうが関係ない。個人的意見だが、この曲は完璧なほど波長が合ってしまう。自分の中の美しい曲、綺麗な曲という観念（原型）を表現するとこのような曲になると思う。”潮騒の音がかすかに聞こえる”ようなデリケートで素晴らしいナンバーであり、歌謡曲史上最高の名曲と僕は思っている。
