   原作は、30年代の雑誌『ニューヨーカー』で人気を呼んだ、チャールズ・アダムスの同名漫画である。60年代には『アダムスのお化け一家』のタイトルでテレビシリーズとなり、大ヒットした。
   監督は、コーエン兄弟の『ミラーズ・クロッシング』などで名カメラマンと名高い、バリー・ソネンフェルド。自在に動き回るハンド君など目を奪うSFXと、不気味さを競う個性のオンパレードが痛快だ。のちに『メン・イン・ブラック』という大ヒット作をものにした、ゾンネンフェルド監督の原点というべき秀作だ。（アルジオン北村）

アダムスファミリーを初めて見たのは小学校のときでしたが、家族大好きの私にとってこの映画は大きな衝撃を与えてくれました。ゴシックな雰囲気にもかかわらず強く結びついている様子はなんとも温かいものだったからです。

暑い夏の日には夜中にクーラーをよく効かせた部屋で姉とこの映画を見始めるとなぜかアダムス家のほこりっぽい、かび臭いような空気が漂ってきてよくわくわくしていました。

ブラックコメディ、そして独特な雰囲気が好きな方にお勧めの映画です。

子供と一緒に観ました。登場人物がすっごく！個性的で　面白くて・・
子供はすぐとりこになってしまい。実は・・わたしもだったりて・・・
家族でマネマネゴッコで楽しめました。映画の中のあの衣装をまとい、あの屋敷に住んでみたい親子だったりします。（主人も参加したいそうです。）））笑。
