   73年のアカデミー作品賞ほか、全7部門で受賞したコミカルなドラマだ。ギャングの大親分に一泡ふかせるという、大胆な物語を奇想天外なトリックで実行している。その話術の巧妙さが絶品で、ラストのどんでん返しもまた見事だ。
   スコット・ジョプリンのラグタイムピアノをフィーチャーした音楽が、30年代のムードを盛りあげている。主演は、ポール・ニューマンとロバート・レッドフォード。この2人の標的にされるロネガンに、ロバート・ショウが扮している。監督は、話術の冴えに定評があるジョージ・ロイ・ヒルだ。（アルジオン北村）

この映画は騙します、引っかけます！

音楽に惹かれて下さい、誰もが一度は聞いたことある音楽。
思わず鼻歌になってしまいます。
ストーリーに惹かれて下さい、ただ騙す、騙されるなんて話じゃありません。
『何でこんなやり方を･･･』の問いに答えるあのセリフ！

動きに惹かれて下さい、レッドフォードに起こされたときのポール・ニューマンの動き洗面台に氷の塊を入れて･･･
何処かで見たことありませんか？
ほかの映画で同じ事をしているんです、探してみて下さい。
初めから最後まで目を離せなくなります。

そして最後にあなたも引っかけられるでしょう。

もんくなしに面白い。
ただし仕様に注意。
仕様：
音声仕様： Mono
字幕： 日本語
音声： 英語
画面サイズ：1.33:1

私はワイドスクリーン、デジタルなら買うが、この仕様じゃ．．．．
１９７３年頃劇場公開だからもうすぐ３０周年。
そろそろ、スペシャル版（ワイドスクリーン、デジタル）が販売されるかも。

この作品で騙される快感というものを知りました。これだけの大掛かりな引っ掛けは空前絶後!!!アカデミー・オリジナル脚本賞を獲ったの頷ける。
