   はるか遠くにいるふたりが、運命の糸に手繰り寄せられていくかのように接近していくさまが、クラシカルな雰囲気を漂わせながら、好もしく描かれていく。エンパイアステート・ビルのくだりなど、純粋なリメイクというわけではないが、レオ・マッケリー監督の作品『めぐり逢い』を相当に意識した作りにもなっている。（的田也寸志）

すごく平凡な二人の平凡な話なんだけど魅かれます。こんなめぐり逢い本当にあったらいいなと自然に思わせてくれる映画です。舞台がシアトルとニューヨークっていう所もよくって、シアトルの海辺の家や、ニューヨークの夜景は本当に綺麗。ちなみに英題はSleepless In Seatleで、邦題もこっちも両方私は好きです。トムハンクスもメグライアンも今見るとすごく若く見えます！二人の演技がこの映画を100倍くらいいいものにしてる気がします。

ヒロインのメグライアンには、婚約者がいるにも関わらず、結婚に踏み切れない気持ちがある。　　たまたま、ラジオで聴いた見知らぬ男性に興味を持ち、どうしても気になってしまう。　　現実にはなかなか無い事かも知れませんが、映画だとロマンティックなストーリーになり、観ていても素敵です。　　場面にあった良い雰囲気の音楽も手伝って、恋心を刺激される良い映画だと思います。　　説明できない不思議な力によって、二人の距離が徐々に近くなっていきます。　　ラブストーリー好きにも、そうでない方にもオススメです。　　これまで出会った人たちやこれから出会う人たち。「縁」というものを考えるのも面白いかもしれません。

こんなにせつなくて、でも最高にハッピーな映画は初めてでした。逢いたいのに逢えない…お互い気になって仕方がない…。恋愛をしていたらこんな気持ちってみんな体験しているのではないでしょうか？この「めぐり逢えたら」はそんな気持ちを表現した映画だと思います。私はこの映画を観て以来メグ・ライアンの大ファンです。
