   世界最高のギャグ番組「空飛ぶモンティ・パイソン」。その第2シリーズ終了後に製作されたモンティ・パイソン劇場用映画第1作目。本作はテレビ版の傑作コントをリメイクしたものだが、もともとテレビ版はひとつのコントが連想的に次へと繋がる構成をとっている。本作も単にコントを並べただけでなくきちんとそのパターンを踏襲。「死んだオウム」から「ランバージャックソング」へ繋がるといった具合にオリジナルとはまた違う形に解体・再構成されており、オリジナルの流れを熟知していても楽しめる作品となっている。
   またDVDならではの機能として公開当時の日本語吹替音声が同時収録されているのもファンには嬉しいが、実は本作のオリジナル英語版が日本に紹介されるのは今回の商品化が初めてのはずであり、それもまた重要なポイントである。（田中　元）

　私はもともとモンティパイソンファンなので、星5つ以外付けるべくもありません。
　既にモンティを知っていて、ファンになっている人の嗜みには最高の1枚でしょうが、
シリーズを見たことがない全くの初心者の人には、リメイクの本DVDよりも、
TVオリジナルの1と2を試しに買うことをお勧めします。
　オールフィルムの映画よりも、TV映像と映画用フィルムが入り乱れるオリジナルの方が、
モンティパイソンの醍醐味を味わうことができると思います。

モンティ・パイソンの第1〜第2期からの選りすぐり(新たに撮り直し)スケッチ集。
まさにモンティ入門に最適なのだが、あの伝説の吹き替えも収録!

当初VHSは吹き替え版のみの発売で、長らく廃盤になっていたが、遂にDVDにも吹き替え収録。

購入後は、末代まで語り継ぎましょう。

代表的な秀逸ばかりのお買い得ＣＤです。好きなのは、「誤訳の旅行ガイド」「死んだオウム」「アリクイの調教師」「汚れていたフォーク」その他もいろいろあります。
モンティの初心者からマニアまで、まずこのＣＤをお買いください。
やっぱり、吹き替えがいいですね。１２０％満喫できますから。
