   ボサノヴァの創始者として『波』、『潮流』など幾多の名作を残したアントニオ・カルロス・ジョビン。そんなジョビンを敬愛してやまない坂本龍一。偉大なミュージシャンである2人が、時間と空間を超えて出会ったのが本作。
   坂本がジョビンの曲を、ジョビン愛用のピアノを使い、ジョビンが生前使っていたスタジオでレコーディングするという夢のような企画なのだ。バックを務めるのは、かつてジョビンのバックで活躍していたモレレンバウム夫妻。

ドビュッシーを聴いてる感覚に似ている。

ジョビンはボサノヴァのというより、クラシックにも通ずる音楽建築を知り尽くしているんだという印象を受ける。

人が音楽の「快感」にハマるツボを知っていて、膨大な音楽的情報の中からすっと無理なく人を「中毒」にさせる「魔術」を心得ているのだろう。
それは確かに坂本龍一との共通点でもあり、彼がジョビンを敬愛する理由の一つでもあるだろう。

完璧な「建築」に、パウラの瑞々しい生命力に満ち溢れた「声」と、ジャックの温かみと叙情溢れる「チェロ」が加わったこの作品には、もはや突っ込みどころなど、何処にも見当たらない。

毎日、毎日食べても、飽きない物ってありますよね。炊き立てのご飯とか、よく冷えたビールとか。食べ物以外だったら、何度見ても夕日ってきれいだなとか。そんな音楽です。モーツァルトを何度聞いても飽きることないですからね。いちおうボサノバってことになっていますけど、いい音楽はジャンルなんか、何でもいいんだなとつくづく感じます。生涯で出会えてよかった音楽の一つだと思います。
