　ドビュッシーのピアノの透きとおったやわらかさ、ほのかなあたたかさが、心地よく伝わってくる二枚組のＣＤ。同じピアニストによる『月の光〜ドビュッシー：ピアノ名曲集』がとても素晴らしかったので、曲の重複を差し引いても購入する価値ありと考えました。

　結果は、当たり！　前述の抜粋盤（二枚組ＣＤ）に比べて、曲の解説がずっと丁寧で充実していたこともありますが、同じ音源の演奏のはずなのに、こちらのオリジナル二枚組盤のほうが、アースのピアノの音がクリアーでやわらかみがあると感じました。どうしてこういうことが起こるのか、私の気のせいなのか、ＣＤの質のせいなのか、原因は分からないのですが。

　ＣＤ１（収録時間　73:16）では、『夢』と、『ベルガマスク組曲』の四曲「前奏曲」「メヌエット」「月の光」「パスピエ」が、本当に素敵な演奏で魅了されました。
　ＣＤ２（収録時間　69:33）では、『喜びの島』がよかった。ゆったりとしたテンポで広がっていく音楽のファンタジア。わくわくしました。

　手頃な値段でドビュッシーのピアノ曲を聴いてみたい方には、同じアースの『月の光〜ドビュッシー：ピアノ名曲集』がおすすめ。幅広く、色んなドビュッシーのピアノ曲を味わってみたい方には、こちらの第１集、ならびに、第２集の『ドビュッシー：ピアノ作品選集』がおすすめです。

　録音は、1970年12月〜1971年４月。パリ、リバン聖母教会にて。

私が初めてドビュッシーの作品を聞いたのはオケでの演奏であった。オケならではの壮大に、豊かに広がるドビュッシーの世界も素晴らしいが、それとはまたひと味違う、ピアノならではの繊細で透明なドビュッシーの世界に心洗われる思いである。（思わずため息・・）モニク女性ならではの柔らかなそれでいて芯のあるタッチ、目を閉じて聞き入れば無限に広がって行くようだ。星４つの理由は、これから演奏家の聞き比べをしようと思っているからで、今後マイランクがどうなっていくか楽しみである。

私が「クラシックピアノを聴きたい！」と思って初めて選んだのがドビュッシーのこのＣＤ。（ピアノ作品が全て収録されているし、もちろん第２集も合わせて買いました。）なぜドビュッシーだったかと言うと、映画監督の岩井俊二さんがドビュッシーを好きらしく、彼の映画音楽にも影響していると思ったため。（私は彼の映画音楽が好きです。）
ドビュッシーの音楽は、クラシックに一味加えたという感じで、より個性的で独特な印象を受けます。軽快で優しい曲が多く聴きやすいと思います。クラシックはちょっと苦手という人にもお勧めだと思います。
