『クリフハンガー』のレニー・ハーリン監督&シルベスタ・スタローンが再びコンビを組んだF1映画『ドリヴン』のサントラ。F1のイメージから疾走感あふれる曲ばかりが並んでいそうだが、リアン・ライムスなどアコースティックな曲も挿んで、メリハリの利いた選曲がなされている。タントリックの「ブレイクダウン」やドイル・ブラムホールIIの「グリーン・ライト・ガール」などカッコいい曲もあるが、映画の中で印象に残るのは意外にもERAの「マザー」で、レーサーたちへのレクイエムのように聴こえて効果的だ。 (竹之内円) --- 2001年08月号

　正直、映画自体はあまり内容のあるものではなかった。しかしそれを
盛り上げていたのがこの音楽。サントラはすばらしい出来に仕上がっている。
一曲一曲が全く違う音楽で、私のお気に入りは10のMother。
カーレース映画には全然にあわなそうな曲なのに、映画で観たら場面に絶妙にマッチしている。

映画を観ていない人もこのサントラを聴けば観たくなるかも？！
