99年頃にアメリカの大手レコード・チェーン店頭で息の長いプロモーションがかかっていたデビュー作は、繊細かつ情熱的な叙情アコースティック感覚に魅かれて愛聴した。たしかあちらでは“シスコよりウォールフラワーズへの回答”とかナンとか宣伝文句が躍っていたような覚えがあるがそれはさておき、その楚々とした魅力を放っていた前作から3年ぶりに登場するこのセカンドで、彼らは見違えるほどに逞しくスケール感あふれるサウンドへと変身を遂げている。ポップで温かいメロディと力強くシンプルなビートがゆったり流れていく。もちろんアコースティックな響きはそのまま繊細さを残しつつ、歌の泣きを明快に前面に押し出して、時にストリングスやリズムのグルーヴ感を活かした多彩なアレンジで豊かな情感を描き出す。ブラック・クロウズのバラード・センスを彷彿とさせる部分も随所に。ブレンダン・オブライエンのプロデュース手腕もあるのか、ソフト路線と骨太さが見事に手を結んだ。 (平野和祥) --- 2001年07月号

このバンドの宣伝文句「アメリカの心の歌」、これはまさしく的を得た言葉であると私は思う。どの曲もスケールが大きく、とても聴きやすい。そして、１度聴くと耳から離れない切なく美しいメロディは常に心を落ち着かせる。私が現在最も愛聴している１枚、それがtrain 「Drops Of Jupiter」だ！！

ドロップス・オブ・ジュピター、美しく切ないメロディに心地よい歌声、アルバムタイトルの3曲目は、聞けば聞く程心にしみてきます。
何度聞いても決して飽きることのない音楽こそが本当の音楽！そう思わせてくれるCDです。
