KUWATA BANDの曲も収録されているアルバムで、今はTOP OF THE POPSが発売され、存在価値が薄れてしまったようなアルバムですが、こっちにはシングルのカップリング曲も収録されていて、値段もお手頃なので、最近の「孤独の太陽」以降の桑田佳祐の作品は持っているが、昔のを聴きたいなという人には「TOP OF THE POPS」よりこっちの方がお得だと思います。

天才桑田圭祐が、その天才ぶりを最も発揮していた頃の珠玉の作品群。（2001年頃から再びその兆しをみせるが）　10年以上たって色褪せない楽曲などそうあるものではないし、『ＢＬＵＥ』にいたってはむしろ新しさすら感じるほど洗練されていて、今になってその凄さに気づかされる。昨今、大量且つ無限に押し寄せるニューリリースに目移りしている人、あれやこれやと手を出すのなら、このアルバムを聴いてからでも遅くは無い。

桑田佳祐のCD多しと言えども、このアルバムは One of the bests だと思います。海外にいて桑田サウンドからも遠ざかっており、いきなりこのCDを聴いた時のショックは忘れられません。
