   2001年1月~3月、TBS系で放映されたSMAPの中居正広主演の医療ドラマで、“役者・中居正広”を楽しむうえで外せない作品。原作は、渡辺淳一による小説『無影燈』。1973年に田宮二郎主演でドラマ化された作品のリメイクで、当時も人気を博した孤高の医師・直江庸介役に、中居が斬新な演技で息を吹き込んだ。陽気で明るいイメージのある中居が、シリアスで謎めいた直江を完璧に演じ、物語をよりドラマティックなものに昇華させている。最初は反感をもちながら、しだいに直江に惹かれていく看護婦・志村倫子役は竹内結子が務め、せつない恋路を往く女性の強さと健気さをたしかな存在感で見せている。脇を固めるいかりや長介ら、ベテランの演技も見逃せない。（みきーる）

第五話と第六話収録です。
末期がんの患者と家族に告知しない方法で治療を続ける直江先生。
私の父と重なり涙してしまいました。
と言うのは、オンエア当時私の父は末期がんだったのです。
でも直江先生のような主治医で本人には告知しませんでした。
モルヒネも風邪薬だと言って飲ませた頃、私達は辛かった。

でも医師の告知しない方が、希望を持たせてあげられるという

言葉どおり父は主治医を信じ、最後の最後まで
　　　「まだもう少しは生きられる」と言っていました。
笑顔で話す父を見ているのがつらかった。
でも結果的には父は「有難う」と小声で精一杯言って他界しました。
幸せそうでした。死期は自分で感じられるようです。

母のことを「お前の目はきれいだなー」とも言いました。
言ったことない父がですよ

さてここは見逃してはいけないシーンばかりです。

死を覚悟しながら戦う直江先生、だからこそ純粋な志村に

魅かれていくことを恐れ冷たくしてしまう切ないストーリー

でも直江と志村も心通じ合った。(^_-)-☆で続きます。
私もせんせー!と直江を呼びたいっ!!
