   2001年1月~3月、TBS系で放映されたSMAPの中居正広主演の医療ドラマで、“役者・中居正広”を楽しむうえで外せない作品。原作は、渡辺淳一による小説『無影燈』。1973年に田宮二郎主演でドラマ化された作品のリメイクで、当時も人気を博した孤高の医師・直江庸介役に、中居が斬新な演技で息を吹き込んだ。陽気で明るいイメージのある中居が、シリアスで謎めいた直江を完璧に演じ、物語をよりドラマティックなものに昇華させている。最初は反感をもちながら、しだいに直江に惹かれていく看護婦・志村倫子役は竹内結子が務め、せつない恋路を往く女性の強さと健気さをたしかな存在感で見せている。脇を固めるいかりや長介ら、ベテランの演技も見逃せない。（みきーる）

5.0 out of 5 stars 『生』と『死』、『愛すること』と『愛されること』について考えたくなるドラマ。, 2004/7/8
直江役の中居正広さん演じる天才医師は、血液のガンに冒され、
余命少ない人生を医師として、最期まで、まっとうすることを
誓った。
彼はそんな状況の為か、女性を『愛すること』を諦めていた。
竹内結子さん演じる看護婦、倫子は、そんな直江医師の心に
確実に入りこんでは傷ついていた。
そして、彼の強さや心の奥に潜む、やさしさ、もろさ、悲しさ、

に触れ、彼のすべてを知り、どうしようもなく愛に落ちていく。
全編にわたり、『生』と『死』、『愛すること』と『愛される
こと』が、大きなテーマになっている。
中居さんの演技は名作『砂の器』以上のものがあった。
又、倫子役の竹内さんも、直江以上の強さとやさしさが感じら
れ、彼をしっかり受け止める名演となった。

平成のドラマの中では最優秀作品といって過言ではない。
絶対お勧めの作品です。

リアルタイムで当時欠かさず観ていた、そしてビデオにも録画した
この作品。それで満足していたのに「砂の器」でまたしても直江先生
より大人になった中居君に魅了され、DVDを求めました。でもボックス
の再発売は無いそうです。
それで１~５までバラで購入しました。残念(>_<)と思いながら…
ところが、またまた直江せんせー!（*^_^*）

と病気悪化。ボックスでなければ本編のみだと思っていたのに、
インタビューあり、長いメイキングあり。うれしー(^_^)v
ボックスの在庫無しでがっかりしている方、バラで購入しても
価値ありですよ。
メイキングではカット後の舌を出して笑う中居君も観られます。
何度観ても名作ですし、直江先生にはジーンとくる。

「白い影　その物語のはじまりと命の記憶」

どちらを先に観るかによっても印象変わりますね。
いずれにしても、最高。

This is a perfect drama. All the　actors & actresses and all staff members　had done a super good job.
As a fan of this drama or as a Nakai-kun fan,　you must have this dvd at home.
I'm so happy that this DVD contains interview of staff member and the "making of".
