好きなアーティストのベストほど、「あの曲が入ってない！俺は認めない！」みたいな気分になることが多いけど、これに関しては、過去のアルバムを網羅し、CD2枚に詰め込めるだけ詰め込み、初めて聴く人には入門編として、またコアなファンでもそこそこ納得できる選曲になっているのではないだろうか。

楽曲の良さもさることながら、ギターがしびれるほどかっこいい。
また、歌詞カードを広げながら正座して聴いてしまうほど、詞も素晴らしい。長くじっくり聴けると思いますよ。

昨今流行の日本のロックバンドのボーカルは、ほとんど何を歌っているかが聞き取れない。やたらアメリカ英語調に「ｒ」の音がこもったり、裏声混じりだったり。しかも歌詞たるや「切ない想い」だの「永遠を信じて」だの、いわばスカスカの内容。

そういうロックに飽き足らない人には、このバンドは絶対にオススメである。ドッシリとした詞（詩）の世界、明瞭な発音、ラフながら安定した演奏。こういうバンドがなかなか世に知られないのは、時代が追いついていないのか、メッセージ性を含む歌をイヤがる腰抜け音楽業界のせいなのか。

やはり「満月の夕」が白眉だろう。

　基本はシンプルな3ピースのロックンロールバンド。エレキギターがいかにもエレキギターのいい音を出している。アルバムの曲順は本来の発表順となっていて、アルバム前半のバンドサウンドが前面に出ていた時代の曲は、3ピースバンドらしい空間をいかした演奏。決してスカスカという意味ではない。空間を音で埋め尽くしてしまうのではなく、ドラムとベースとギターがゆらゆらと空間を漂う。互いに会話するよう。これぞロックンロールの醍醐味。

　ヴォーカルの山口さんの歌声は、ロックンロール声なんだけど、だらしないロックンロール声ではなくシャキッとしたロックンロール声。（メジャーデビュー当時の）ルックスが和風顔だったので、最初少し違和感がありましたが・・・・・・格好いい。

　とにかく2枚組でボリュームたっぷり。今日はアルバムのこの部分、明日はあの部分と飛び飛びに聴いて、バンドの音の変化を楽しんでいます。活動中止は本当に残念。

ひさしぶりに歌を聴いて涙が出そうになりました。 言いたかった事をいろいろ言ってくれてる。 詩を聞いていてこんなに楽しいのはすごいです。
