わたしがこのアニメを観たのは中学１年のときでした。ＤＶＤ発売を聞いて､涙が出るほどうれしかったです。
ビデオも再放送もない時代に毎回の放送を心待ちにしていました。
裏番組が確か『サザエさん』だったので、あまり話題になりませんでしたが、

数多くのアニメを鑑賞してきたわたしの中では､間違いなく５本の指に入る傑作です。原作はあまりにも有名ですが、かなり脚色されています。シルバー船長は男も惚れるすばらしいキャラクター、必見です！

この作品が放映された頃私は１０代になったばかり。ビデオも今のようには普及しておらず、ＬＤを買うお金も無く、以来２０年近く心の底に仕舞って置いた幻のアニメでした。今回ＤＶＤで再び目にしたこの作品のカケラも失われていない輝きに感動。シルバーの格好良さ、ジムのひたむきさ、そして心躍るあのオープニングナンバー。

オトナはあの頃のドキドキを思い出す為に、コドモはこれからの冒険を夢見る為に必見の作品です。

ＬＤボックスは高すぎて手が出ず、やっとＤＶＤが発売！待ったかいがありました。シルヴァーのようなかっこいい心意気を持った男の人はなかなか実際はいないけど、少しでもそれに近づけたらなーと思います！出崎・杉野作品ではこれが1番好きです！
