最近ラジオから流れ出る本作からの曲に思わず耳を奪われた。これひょっとしてイエス？そう。ステイーヴ・ハウ加入がイエス像を決定付けたと思っていると驚きます。既にいわゆるイエス・サウンドなんです。しかも濃厚な。アナログ時代はなかなか店頭になかったこの作品、今はいい時代というか、夢がなくなったというか複雑な思いが。内容ですが、イエスはやはりリズム隊だと再認識。流麗なキーボードやギターが無論花形ではありますが、こんなリズム他に絶対無い！当時考えられる範囲のアイデアはやり尽くし、更に変態的なアプローチを試みてます。実際バンドをやってる方なら解ると思いますが、こんなドラムとベース、普通考えないし、やっても噛み合わない！このスカスカの録音＝古さが、逆に彼等の才能??浮かび上がらせている気がします。プログレ系のリマスタリング盤は全般的に音がフラットになっていて、アナログで前に出てくる部分が引っ込んだままなのが気になるけど、本盤はイケてます。
