   元ハレルヤズの柴山伸二を中心としたグループ「渚にて」は、90年結成の「Love Beach」を前身とするアシッドフォークバンドである。4作目となる本作では、ますます無駄な音を削ぎ落とし、シンプルながらも浮遊感のあるポップサウンドを作り出している。
   作品を重ねるごとに存在感を増す竹田雅子のヴォーカルが、このアルバムでも大きくフィーチャーされている。まるで少女のような彼女の声が、柴山の創作意欲をいっそう駆り立てている。その高揚感は、こちらにも伝わってくるかのようだ。（今井直也）

意識して遮断しない限り、今は膨大な量の人畜無害なJ-POPが勝手に耳に入ってくる時代だ。だがその一方で、注意深く耳をすまさないと聴こえてこない音楽というのも存在する。80年代初頭から関西でイディオット・オクロック、ハレルヤズといったバンドで活躍してきた柴山伸二が竹田雅子と組織しているバンド、渚にての音楽はまさしくそういうタイプのものだ。音の一つ一つを噛みしめるかのように紡ぎ出される物憂いアシッド・タッチな歌と演奏は、聴く者を徹底して個の内面へと向かわせる。そしてシンプルな曲が淡々と進んでいくうちに、いつしか我々は覚醒へ導かれるのだ。そういう点において、4枚目にあたるこのアルバムは、サイケデリックの本質が内包された作品と言えるだろう。ジム・オルーク・バンドのドラマーであるティム・バーンズ、山本精一、盟友の頭士奈生樹といったゲストを迎えて奏でられる静謐な音の響きに、時空感覚がゆるやかにマヒしていく。ああ、快感……。 (小暮秀夫) --- 2001年07月号

やさしいような激しいような・・・なんと表現すればいいのか。
｢こんな感じ｣としかいいようのない感覚。少ない音数、朴訥なメロディー、
それだけではない何かを雰囲気として放っている。

今まで聴いたことのない音と懐かしい音、両方あてはまる。
説明するのが難しい。

言葉より先に涙が出てしまう。

もう何回聴いたかわからない。渚にてのなかでは一番好き。よく言われてますが、なんか泣けるんですね。とにかく、このアルバムは。。。1、2、4、6曲目は特に。
